Sir – I am researching my maternal grandfather’s family tree and write to request the assistance of readers in tracing the descendants of my great great aunt Sarah Jane Page.
Born in 1857 at South Newington, she married Thomas Franklin in 1883 at the Methodist Chapel, Church Lane, Banbury.
Thomas, a baker, and Sarah lived at Church Street, Kidlington. They had one son, Thomas Alfred, known as Alfred and he had a son called Peter.
I accompanied my mother on several occasions when she visited Alfred’s sisters Elsie and Florence – they often mentioned Alfred and Peter. If anyone has any information regarding Sarah Jane’s family, I would appreciate hearing from them. Additionally, if any of the readers are descendants of the wider Page family, I hope they will too get in touch.
