STAFF representatives from the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington are currently in talks with Carillion over pay and job cuts.
Unison communications officer Ian Mckendrick said staff have planned to strike on Tuesday, July 21 for 48 hours if the two parties fail to agree by this Friday.
He added: "It's still very much up in the air, but the staff representatives are still meeting with Carillion to see if they can reach an agreement.
"If they do not come up with an offer this Friday then strike action will be taken on Tuesday."
