I DID not renew my season ticket last year as a protest to the treatment of young goalkeeper Max Crocombe.
With Ryan Clarke not fit, a young keeper was signed from Sheffield and Max Crocombe is once again the fall guy. What message does that send out to the youngsters.
This year I did get a season ticket as things seem to be moving forward.
Then, news of Ryan Clarke who, in my opinion, was being forced out.
Over the years Ryan has been a firm favourite with the fans and a great ambassador for Oxford United.
I wish him well, he will be sorely missed. His old boss Chris Wilder soon snapped him up. So that tells you something.
Michael Appleton now has the players he craved for, and for me, if he doesn’t get us promoted, I will not be renewing my season ticket.
It will be his head on the chopping block.
