YOUR accountant Iain Ferrie feature in your budget analysis (Oxford Mail, July 9) says that raising the personal tax allowance from £10,000 to £11,000 is good news for all workers.
He has forgotten that millions of people earn less than £10,000 a year, and they will gain nothing. These are the very people, in low-paid, part-time, insecure jobs, who need help most. The benefits go only to those above the threshold.
