ONCE again, we read in the Oxford Mail that Banbury has been handed a cash boost to reduce empty shops and identify gaps in the sort of shops.
What about a boost in finances to Kidlington to fill our empty shops and to get a more varied type of shop?
While we are talking Kidlington, why are Bartlett’s Butchers complaining about losing £70 a week due to the infamous bollard. They are the only butcher in Kidlington so have the monopoly here. When the clock tower was built, there was a space at the rear specifically to service the row of shops from the clock tower to approximately the charity shop.
Why can’t this be put into use for deliveries? On the opposite side of the road, there is access between The Black Bull and The Black Horse to again put in an access road to service the shops as far as Iceland.
Mr O’Shea could sell his buildings to assist the council to bring about deliveries problems to all that row of shops and cafes.
