Blaze hits West Hagbourne cottage
Fire crews were able to prevent a thatched cottage in West Hagbourne being destroyed on Thursday.
Firefighters were called to a property on Main Street after a blaze broke out in the thatch. The property owner was alerted by a neighbour who smelled smoke at around 4pm.
The fire crews cut away sections of the thatch to stop the fire from spreading”
