A PIG roast was one of the features of a three-day carnival at Combe, near Woodstock – 14-year-old David Moss is pictured testing the quality of the meat before everyone tucked in.
The event, in 1976, also included a craft fair, flower festival, cricket match, morris dancing, maypole dancing, a clay pigeon shoot and photographic display.
The historic Combe Mill was open to the public.
Proceeds went to the fund to restore the 14th century St Lawrence’s Church.
