COMEDIANS Jason Manford and Ross Noble have swapped stand-up for singing in a musical at Oxford’s New Theatre.
The pair star in the The Producers, a musical based on Mel Brooks’ 1967 Academy Award-winning movie.
It follows accountant Leo Bloom as he is recruited by New York producer Max Bialystock to help him pull off a rip-off show.
Mr Manford plays Bloom and Mr Noble plays Franz Liebkind, a former Nazi whose awful play about Adolf Hitler is used as the basis for the scam. They are joined by Olivier Award-winner David Bedella and West End stars Cory English Tiffany Graves and Stephane Anelli.
Mr Manford said: “It’s always a delight to come back to Oxford.”
The show is on tonight and tomorrow. Box office 0844 871 3020 or visit atgtickets.com/oxford.
