More student accommodation has been approved for Cheney Hall student village.
At a meeting on Wednesday, Oxford city councillors unanimously agreed proposals to turn existing storage at the site into 20 new student bedrooms with living and kitchen space.
This will include a junior common room and a bike and maintenance store built elsewhere on the site.
Conditions imposed by the local authority include – when the build starts – the materials to be used, the retention of a nearby tree, that cycle storage is provided, that it is only used during term time use and that students are not allowed to park their cars on the site.
