A TEENAGE girl was confronted by a group of men and sexually assaulted in Wheatley in the early hours of this morning, police said.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said at 12.30am the 16-year-old was walking along London Road when a small group of men in their twenties approached her.
She was allegedly touched inappropriately before the men walked off.
Thames Valley Police believe the girl may have been helped by members of the public afterwards.
Oxford Criminal Investigation Department Det Insp Jim Holmes said: “We would like to speak to anyone who was in London Road just after midnight and may have seen anything suspicious.
“We would also like to speak to any passers-by who helped a girl who appeared to be in distress last night as they may have information to help with our investigation.”
