A PRIMARY school teacher has launched a new series of travel guides for children which have already impressed Richard Branson.
Shirley Dixon, from Witney, who works part-time to provide literacy support groups at North Kidlington School, has been giving children a taster of the new children’s books based on summer holidays, which are now being provided on Virgin flights.
The writer has been teaching literacy for the past 35-years.
She said: “We have launched in schools and we are absolutely delighted. The books have also been well received by Richard Branson, who had 40,000 ordered for Virgin Atlantic as part of their in-flight kids packs and have actually just ordered another 40,000.”
On Wednesday the teacher sat down with students to try out a selection of the summer travel books.
