Bicycles can be carried on the front of buses in the Australian capital Canberra
Sir – In Oxford, bicycles are not permitted on local buses for understandable safety reasons.
I am currently in the Australian capital Canberra, where they have thought up an excellent solution to this problem: bicycles are carried in special metal cages at the front of the bus. Only a few can be carried, but a few is better than none. Would this not be an excellent initiative for Oxford?
