The police search helicopter was called yesterday after a man stopped on suspicion of using his phone at the wheel ran from officers.
Thames Valley Police said a motorist was stopped at Seacourt Park-and-Ride at about 1.15pm on suspicion of driving while using his mobile phone at the wheel.
But when the officers started to question him they said he ran off.
Police spokeswoman Hannah Jones said despite the helicopter search the man had not been found last night Officers impounded the car as inquiries continued.
