RESIDENTS at the Sanctuary Care home in Wantage turned back the clock by decorating the premises in 1960’s style.
As part of Care Home Open Day, the home in Garston Lane used psychedelic patterns to roll back the years for the home’s elderly residents last Friday.
Soloist Phil Barker was on hand for an acoustic guitar session, strumming classics from the decade before joining residents for a tea party.
A range of cakes and other treats were also available on the day to raise money for the residents’ activities fund.
Activities assistant Wendy Pill said: “Our residents, their loved ones and the team here had an absolutely wonderful day filled with lots of laughter and smiles.
“We were so pleased to welcome our friends from the community along to share such a special and memorable day with us. Thank you to everyone who came along.”
