POLLING is taking place today in West Oxfordshire for three vacancies for the South Ward of Witney Town Council.
The election was originally due to take place on May 7 but was put back following the death of former Witney town councillor Chrissie Curry, who died after battling cancer in April.
Seven candidates are standing in the election.
A single seat is also being contested on Charlbury town council today for which there are two candidates.
The polling hours are 7am to 10pm and polling stations are at the War Memorial Hall in Charlbury and the Corn Exchange and Burwell Hall in Witney.
The results of the elections will be announced on Thursday night or first thing on Friday, June 26.
