A PUB landlady said she was devastated after finding her framed basques and French knickers had been stolen.
Jacky Sadones, who runs the Old Bookbinders in Victor Street, Jericho, Oxford, with her husband Michel, said the items were taken from the ladies toilets on Saturday.
She said they were special gifts from her husband and were bought from Foxi Minki in Cowley Road after they married 17 years ago.
One of the basques was leopard print with gold chains, the other was sheer black with embroidered red roses and the French knickers were black.
According to Mrs Sadones, a customer who used the facilities said that they were still in the toilets at 6.30pm but at 7.45pm a member of staff noticed they were missing from the frames on the wall.
She said: “The CCTV shows a woman taking the items out of the frames and then putting them up her vest top before carrying them back to her table and putting them into her handbag.
Each item was worth between £150 and £175.
Mrs Sadones said: “I’m not bothered about the money; it’s just the principle of it.
“I am now 55 and a size 18 and these gifts were given to me when I was a younger woman and I was able to wear them.
“Stealing them from the pub feels like a real kick in the teeth to the memories I have.”
