A 15-year-old schoolgirl who died in Chadlington on June 11 was found hanged, a coroner’s court heard yesterday.
An inquest into the death of Chipping Norton School pupil Jennifer Fry, from Stonelee Close, Chadlington, was opened at Oxford Coroner’s Court.
Coroner Darren Salter said Miss Fry was last seen by a friend at 8.10am walking towards a wooded area known as Brooke Forest. The court heard when she did not return home in the evening, her mother Deborah Fry, asked friends where she had gone and went to look for her. She found her hanging from a tree at 4.30pm.
The full inquest will be heard on October 20.
