A MUM-OF-THREE has shaved her head to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Gemma Cole, 33, from Faringdon, decided to face the clippers after her sister-in-law, Charlene Brown, was diagnosed with breast cancer.
Hairdresser Issabella Reid, of Aspire Hair Salon in Wantage, shaved her hair off on Saturday in front of Mrs Cole’s family and friends.
Afterwards Mrs Cole, who works as a cleaner, said: “It was quite emotional, but something that I just decided to do out of the blue.”
Mrs Cole’s grandfather, John Wilbin, passed away from throat cancer when she was 15, and her mother-in-law Valerie Brown died of breast cancer in 2006. Mrs Cole’s husband Phillip said: “Macmillan do so much to help loved ones and patients.”
