A MAN was assaulted outside La Cucina restaurant in St Clements Street, Oxford.
Police said the 28-year-old man was assaulted by a group of six to eight men at about 11.45pm on June 15.
The victim was punched in the head a number of times, sustained a broken nose and damage to his mouth and teeth.
Police, who only released details of the incident today, said there were no descriptions of the group other than they were all black men.
The victim attended the John Radcliffe Hospital in Headington, but has since been discharged.
Investigating officer, PC Benjamin Branch based at Cowley police station, said: “I would appeal to anyone with any information about this vicious attack to contact police immediately via 101.
“Although the victim has since been discharged from hospital after being treated for a broken nose, he might require further surgery to his mouth.”
“I hope that anyone with information will look into their conscious and come forward to bring justice to the victim.”
