THE weather failed to dampen spirits at this year’s Wallingford Rugfest over the weekend.
Festivalgoers shrugged off the elements to revel in a selection of bands and activities at Wallingford Rugby Club.
Headlined by late 80s rock band The Christians, the seventh Rugfest presented a mix of music.
Children made the most of a blackboard bus, covered in blackboards to write and scribble on, giant zorb balls and a laser tag game.
Jessica Soanes, 11, said: “It was epic, we went in the zorb ball and had a great time on the blackboard bus and danced around in the rain with our macs on.”
Her mother Jayne said: “It’s a really nice, mellow, family festival.
“There’s a good selection of food, a real eclectic mix of music on offer and lots for the children to do as well.”
The Summer Music Festival hosted on Hithercroft Sports Park is organised every year by members of the town’s rugby club.
