A MAN was taken to hospital after being injured on a gate trying to get back into the Plush Lounge nightclub in Park End Street yesterday (Sun) morning.
Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Charlotte Redman said they were called at 2.49am to reports that a 26-year-old man had suffered an injury under his arm.
She said a police cordon had subsequently been put in place yesterday morning while investigations were conducted.
Ms Redman confirmed there were no arrests in connection with the incident.
Operations director for Plush Lounge Ltd Stuart Hayles said they were told a man who had previously been removed from the venue was seen climbing over gates into the beer garden of the Jam Factory to try to get back in.
He said: “We are unable to confirm any actual injuries he incurred, or indeed exactly how any injuries might have occurred.
“I have, however, reviewed the CCTV and spoken to the staff on duty, and, at this stage, it seems probable that while climbing the gates he might have injured himself on the gates themselves.
"However, as this is still being investigated by the police, I am unable to comment further at this time.”
