OXFORD MAGISTRATES
Dean McAllister, 19, of Northcourt Walk, Abingdon, admitted being drunk and disorderly in a public place, Oxford Road, Abingdon, on May 12. Also admitted failing to answer bail at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on May 29, having been released on criminal proceedings. Fined £35 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge, £20 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.
Andrew Pretty, 27, of Leach Road, Bicester, admitted driving while disqualified and without valid third party insurance in South Parks Road, Oxford, on May 16. Given a six-week prison sentence suspended for two years and banned from holding or obtaining a driving licence for 39 months. Also ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.
Ivan Bryan, 54, of Minchery Road, Oxford, admitted depositing controlled waste in or on land at Ambassador Avenue, on the Oxford Retail Park in Cowley, Oxford, without the authority of a current environmental permit on May 30 and July 8. Fined £1,000 and ordered to pay a £50 victim surcharge and £525 costs.
Rory Wootton, 36, of Advanced Roof Tec, Home Farm, Barnard Gate, near Witney, admitted failing to discharge a duty of care under the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, by failing to ensure that he and people not in his employment were safe while working on a house roof in Manor Road, Woodstock, on March 17, 2014. Fined £3,000 and ordered to pay £1,236.80 costs and a £120 victim surcharge.
Hafiz Aziz, 50, of Old Marston Road, Oxford, admitted failing to demolish an unauthorised outbuilding on his land in Old Marston Road, in breach of an enforcement notice from Oxford City Council on September 11. Fined £5,000 and ordered to pay £225 costs and a £120 victim surcharge.
Michael Kearney, 45, of Foresters Tower, Wood Farm, Oxford, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour to cause fear of unlawful violence in Atkyns Road, Oxford, on March 12. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a 12-month conditional discharge made at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on November 27 for an offence of criminal damage. Given a community order with a three-month curfew on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesday and Thursdays from 9am to 5am. Restraining order made against the victim and ordered to pay £50 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and £135 costs.
Andrew Achilleos, 53, of Iffley Road, Oxford, admitted stealing £327 worth of perfume and aftershave from Boots in Cornmarket Street, Oxford, on June 8. Sent to prison for 42 days and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £180 criminal courts charge.
Thomas Routledge, 22, of School Close, Steventon, admitted driving while disqualified and without valid third party insurance in Featherbed Lane, East Hendred, near Wantage, on May 2. Fined £440 and ordered to pay a £44 victim surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge. Banned from holding a driving licence for six months.
Matthew Evans, 42, of Portway, Didcot, admitted assaulting a man by beating him on the A34 between Bicester and Oxford on May 16. Fined £415 and ordered to pay £500 compensation, a £41 victim surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.
Mark Smith, 38, of no fixed address, admitted persistently begging in a public place, Cornmarket Street, Oxford, in May. Also admitted breaching an antisocial behaviour order made on December 12 prohibiting him from sitting within 10 metres of a cash machine in Cornmarket Street. Sent to prison for 30 days and ordered to pay a £150 criminal courts charge.
Donna Aldridge, 54, of High Street, Long Wittenham, admitted speeding at 47mph in a 30mph zone on the A415 at Culham near Abingdon on November 27. Fined £250 and ordered to pay a £25 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with five points.
Sarah Grisbrooke, 47, of Bradstocks Way, Sutton Courtenay, near Abingdon, admitted driving on a public road, the A4130 at Didcot, without valid insurance, on October 8. Fined £300 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with six points.
Michelle King, 50, of Cromwell Way, Kidlington, admitted speeding at 35mph in a 30mph zone in Cumnor Hill, North Hinksey, Oxford, on August 27. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with three points.
Dariusz Mizera, 43, of Dovehouse Close, Witney, admitted speeding at 36mph in a 30mph zone in Botley Road, Oxford, on October 10. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with three points.
Michael Rusher, 42, of Kings Close, Letcombe Regis near Wantage, admitted driving on a public road, the A338 at Garford, without valid insurance on November 12. Fined £300 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with six points.
William Thompson, 28, of Oxford Road, Kingston Bagpuize, near Abingdon, admitted speeding at 67mph in a 40mph zone on the A33 Swallowfield Bypass near Reading on November 14. Fined £265 and ordered to pay a £27 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with six points.
