THE timetable for trains which will operate from the new Oxford Parkway station in October has been released.
The first train will leave the station near Kidlington on October 26, arriving at London Marylebone just 56 minutes later.
The line is the first new rail link between London and a major British city for more than 100 years and is part of a £130m investment from Chiltern Railways.
The train operator expects 1,000 people a day to use the new service.
It will see two fast trains an hour running between Oxford Parkway and the capital via Bicester. The service will eventually run to and from Oxford station.
Chiltern said it will run three trains to London between 6am and 7am daily, including a service offering a ‘business zone’ and espresso bar at 7.24am.
Most trains will have free wi-fi and power sockets.
There will also be a link service running between Oxford Parkway and Islip station.
Chiltern said the weekend timetable would mirror the weekday off-peak service.
Off-peak, services will general run every half hour to and from Oxford Parkway.
The station at Water Eaton will have a cafe, 850 car parking spaces and 150 spaces for bikes.
The bridge between the two 240m-long platforms will have lifts for disabled passengers or people with pushchairs.
Director Graham Cross said: “The new line is an incredibly exciting and important milestone.”
* The full timetable is available on the Chiltern Railways website.
