A 50-PIECE orchestra and Hungarian, Greek and Balkan bands will descend on a hilltop hideaway in Oxfordshire this weekend.
The event is the second annual Tandem Festival of music and environment which launches tonight and continues until Sunday.
Alongside the music will be workshops on how to live a more eco-friendly life, including one on insects as food.
The party at Hill End Outdoor Centre between Botley and Farmoor is organised by music engineer Nicholas O’Brien, who lives in Rose Hill.
He said: “This year is particularly exciting because it’s our second year and we’re doing everything better. Everything is already looking amazing and exciting.
“We have already had the first guests arrive, a group who cycled from Paris. Everything is coming together beautifully.”
Mr O’Brien founded the festival largely to create a place where people could listen to music “properly”, much of it on intimate acoustic stages.
Ticket prices range from £30 for a single day to £75 for a weekend pass with camping.
