RUGBY, beer and very loud music – to some it is a uniquely attractive combination.
In fact, thousands of people are expected to descend on Wallingford this weekend for the town’s annual Rugfest music bonanza.
All day today and tomorrow, there will be ska, folk, rock and blues from local and national acts at the town’s Rugby Club at the Hithercroft Sports Park.
Organiser Guy Hewitt said: “The team of Wallingford RFC will delight you with amazing bands, delicious food, mouthwatering drinks, festival stalls and and all the silliness you could ever need to keep the whole family entertained.
“So turn up, enjoy, and if you need to, take advantage of our campsite.”
And, Wantage ska band Quadrophobe, who officially broke up two years ago, will be reforming for their only public show for the year.
Weekend passes cost £20 and day passes £10 for Friday and £15 for Saturday.
