A WOMAN in her 20s was sexually assaulted while walking along an Oxford cycle path.
Thames Valley Police said the woman was walking along the path that runs between South Parks Road to Ferry Road at about 11pm on Saturday.
Officers said she was approached by a man with a bicycle, who spoke to her before pushing her to the ground and sexually assaulting her.
He then rode away on his bike. which had handle bars that were turned up.
Police said the attacker, who is black, slim and in his 20s, was wearing a navy coloured hooded top with a zip, dark-coloured jeans and chunky trainers.
Investigating officer Det Con Charlotte Dunford, from Oxford Local Area CID, said: “Detectives are working to attempt to locate the offender and high visibility patrols are currently taking place in the area.
“I am appealing for witnesses to this incident itself or to anyone who recognises the description of the offender or who has seen anyone acting suspiciously in the area before or after the offence.”
