PRIME Minister David Cameron let his hair down visiting a firm whose incredible success over the past year has been built on its Tangle Teezer.
Women across the globe have taken to the hairbrush, which untangles hair so much that its Witney inventor Shaun Paulfry now sells one every three seconds.
Witney firm Data Plastics Ltd has taken on 50 staff over the past year, largely due to the success of the brush, and Mr Cameron visited on Friday as the firm, located in Avenue Three, celebrated its 25th year Data Plastics managing director Carl Reese said: “We talked about a lot of things. We’ve had fantastic growth over the past two to three years and we’ve more than doubled in size.
“Tangle Teezer won the Queen’s Award for Innovation so he was very interested in that.
“The sales of Tangle Teezer jumped from 14 million to 23 million this year and its the 19th fastest growing business in the UK.
“We are well-supported by Mr Cameron and I think he was very interested that we’re growing so quickly and employing lots more people.”
