SIX-month speed restrictions on Oxford’s Eastern Bypass are due to begin this morning.
From today, the speed limit will be reduced to 30mph on both carriageways between Cowley and Headington.
It is so that Thames Water can carry out a £6m project to replace a water main near Normandy Crescent.
Cycle tracks and paths on the west side of the road, from Horspath Driftway to Magdalen Wood West, will also close from June 15 until September 13.
In addition, cycle paths will be closed between Horspath Road and Horspath Driftway from September 14 until December 20.
