OXFORD MAGISTRATES
Alan Goodman, 32, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted stealing a bike worth £600 from a person in George Street on April 25. Also admitted attempting to steal another bike, worth £1,000, from Walton Street on May 15. Sent to prison for two months because of a history of offending and ordered to pay £100 compensation and a £180 criminal courts charge.
Julius Vaitiekunas, 23, of Herschel Crescent, Oxford, admitted entering AMT Coffee Shop at Oxford Railway Station as a trespasser and stealing £70 cash on May 3. Also admitted stealing £150 from the AMT stand on May 10, £120 on May 7 and stealing a laptop from there on May 9. Given an 18-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £750 compensation, a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Also ordered to pay a £180 criminal courts charge.
John Allen, 45, of Dene Road, Oxford, admitted stealing £33 worth of alcohol from the Co-op in Kennington Road, Kennington, on May 2. Given a community order requiring six months of drug rehabilitation treatment and ordered to pay £33 compensation and a £150 criminal courts charge.
Said Issa, 31, of Howard Street, Oxford, admitted having an eight-inch kitchen knife in a public place, St Aldate’s Police Station, on May 27. Sent to prison for 12 weeks because the offence was so serious.
Joshua Smith, 20, of North Way, Headington, admitted failing without reasonable excuse to comply with the requirements of a community order made by Oxford Magistrates’ Court on February 16 by failing to report for supervision with an office on April 2. Fined £20 and ordered to pay a £20 victims’ surcharge.
Chester King, 26, of Charter Way, Wallingford, admitted possessing 7.83 ounces of herbal cannabis, a class B drug, in Charter Way, Wallingford, on January 23. Fined £280 and ordered to pay a £28 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Elliott Harper, 20, of Redbridge Hollow, Old Abingdon Road, Oxford, admitted stealing food of value unknown from Sainsbury’s at the Westgate Centre, Oxford, on January 9. Also admitted possessing cannabis, a class B drug, at New Road, Oxford, on the same day and convicted of a racially-aggravated assault by beating in St Aldate’s, Oxford, on January 3. Given a community order with 200 hours of unpaid work in the next 12 months and ordered to pay £100 compensation and £100 costs.
Matthew East, 34, of The Crescent, East Hagbourne, Didcot, admitted possessing 109.76 grams of cannabis, a class B drug, and class C Diazapam at home on April 2. Given a nine-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victims’ surcharge.
Rhys Phillips, 31, of Godfrey Close, Wood Farm, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis, a class B drug, in Oxford on October 16. Fined £75 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.
BANBURY MAGISTRATES
Bernard Day, 43, of Warneford Lane, Oxford admitted breaching a criminal behaviour order by sitting on the ground within five metres of a shop without a reasonable excuse at Tesco in Cowley Road, Oxford, on June 2. Fined £100 with £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs and a £180 criminal courts charge.
Adam Lee, 35, of Marshall Road, Banbury, admitted trespassing in a building in High Street, Lyneham, between December 19 and 21 and stealing a 150-piece socket and ratchet spanner set, a canvas black helmet character container, two open face helmets, a pair of racing boots and a multimeter worth £500. Also admitted possessing cocaine, a class A drug, in Banbury on January 29 and cannabis, a class B drug in the town on the same date. Further admitted possessing 25I-NBOMe, a psychedelic class A drug in Banbury on the same date. Ordered to pay £500 compensation, an £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Benjamin Oates, 22, of Mallard Drive, Witney, admitted driving off without paying for petrol worth £5.04 at Ducklington Service Station, Witney, on November 8. Also admitted driving off without paying for petrol worth £10 at the same service station on December 9. Further admitted driving off without paying for petrol worth £5.11 at the same service station on December 12. Fined £110 and ordered to pay a total of £20.15 compensation, a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Carl Abbott, 50, of Harlech Close, Banbury, convicted of possessing an indecent or pseudo-photograph of a child on a two gigabyte memory card in Banbury on or about January 16, 2014. Also convicted of possessing an indecent or pseudo-photograph of a child on a four gigabyte memory card in Banbury on or about January 16, 2014. Made subject to a community order requiring him to take part in an internet sex offender treatment programme for 35 days. Ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £750 costs.
Lukasz Barasiewicz, 31, of Field Street, Bicester, admitted driving a car while disqualified in Bucknell Road, Bicester, on April 15. Also admitted driving a car without insurance in Bucknell Road, Bicester, on April 15. Sentenced to 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months. Made subject to a curfew for three months from June 3 until September 2, requiring him to remain at an address in Field Street, Bicester, between 10pm and 6am each day. Fined £650 and ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge. Banned from driving for 39 months.
Spencer Hartwell, 28, of Hilton Road, Banbury, admitted fraud by selling an iPhone 5s, which he did not have or own, to a man in Banbury on December 11, causing him to lose £140. Fined £140 and ordered to pay £140 compensation, a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
