A CYCLIST died a month after being involved in a crash in Headington.
The 52-year-old came off his bike near the junction with Horseman Close at about 1am on May 7.
He was taken to the John Radcliffe hospital where he was streated for a serious hip injury.
On 9 June, after collapsing at home having earlier complained of chest pains, the man - from Marston - , was admitted to the JR where he was declared dead.
Investigating officer PC Julia Stroud, from the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing, said: “A Home Office post mortem examination has been requested on this man’s body to determine the exact circumstances which led to his death and whether the collision a month before was a contributory factor.
“We are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident in the early hours of 7 May in which a man came off his bicycle to contact police.”
If you have any information please contact PC Stroud via the 24-hour Thames Valley Police Enquiry Centre on 101.
