Eight men were arrested on suspicion of GBH after a fight broke out in the town on Thursday night.

Police said that they were called at about 9.30pm on Thursday to reports of serious disorder in Woodgreen Avenue, involving several men and a road traffic collision in Orchard Way.

The men from Banbury, in their twenties and thirties, were arrested at the scene.

Three of them had to be taken to Horton General Hospital for medical treatment.

Officers recovered three vehicles – a silver Vauxhall Vectra, a Fiat Punto and a Volvo.

A knife and a baseball bat were also recovered nearby.
