A ROAD in Wantage has reopened after a water main burst yesterday.

Police were forced to shut Ham Road yesterday as Thames Water sent workers to fix the problem, between Ickleton Roda and Challow Road.

This morning spokeswoman for Thames Water Becky Trotman said: “The burst pipe was repaired last night."

Yesterday TVP South Oxon and VOWH tweeted: “Major water leak on Ham road in Wantage, please avoid if possible traffic control in place.”
