A rising bollard with a history of faults is back up and running after being down on Monday.

The £50,000 device on the High Street, installed by Cherwell District Council on February 9 this year, was down during its operation time of 10am to 4pm.

Councillor for South Kidlington and Kidlington Parish Council member Maurice Billington said he does not know why the bollard was down.

Mr Billington said: “We do not know what was wrong but I can assure that it is up and running again.”
