ABOUT 25 firefighters have been tackling a lorry fire on the access road to the Ardley incinerator.
Oxfordshire County Council spokesman Paul Smith said firefighters were called out at 9.30am and were still present at the scene, with the situation under control.
The fire is being treated as accidental and about 20 tonnes of waste were ablaze on the lorry.
Mr Smith said the driver of the vehicle was treated by the ambulance service at the scene. He had smoke inhalation and some minor burns.
