A SHOPLIFTER stole six bottles of alcohol from Waitrose in Abbey Road, Abingdon, on Saturday.
A police spokesman said that at about 7.50pm the thief ran across the car park, behind the service road of the store.
A member of the public told a member of staff she knew who the man was.
Police would like this person to come forward and speak to them.
The offender is white, approximately 5ft 10in, with a medium build.
He had short dark wavy brown hair.
He was wearing a shirt which was possibly pink in colour with the sleeves rolled up, dark denim knee-length shorts, canvas shoes and was carrying a fawn-coloured hessian holdall with two handles.
