CROCODILES of the World has been hosting a series of special events as part of the Oxford Festival of Nature.
The annual celebration of wildlife, being held in the city up until this Sunday, has included a crocodile themed family workshop.
Retired grandmother-of-seven Sarah McKearney, from Iffley, took her granddaughter Suzannah Ford to the workshop at the centre in Burford Road, Brize Norton, describing it as “fantastic”.
She said: “We all did some lovely arts and craft activities and then went round all of the enclosures to look at the crocodiles – I’m so glad we don’t have crocodiles in this country, they’re very scary.”
Seven-year-old Suzannah, who got to handle a small crocodile, said: “Its back was very tough but its tummy was really soft.”
