Mario Jopia, 48, of Old Johns Close, Middle Barton, admitted speeding at 37mph in a 30mph zone in Adderbury on October 11. Also admitted speeding at 82mph in a 70mph zone on the M40 on the same date. Fined £265 and ordered to pay £85 costs and a £27 victim surcharge. Driving licence endorsed with three points.
Khalid Schofield, 33, of Balliol Close, Tackley, admitted speeding at 100mph in a 70mph zone on the M40 on October 17. Fined £265 and ordered to pay a £27 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with six points.
Mark Kelly, 32, of Barton Lane, Headington, convicted of speeding at 85mph in a 70mph zone on the M40 on August 28. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with three points.
Francisco Leite, 62, of Manor Road, Witney, convicted of failing to comply with a red or green arrow or lane closure flashing light signal in or near Thornhill Park-and-Ride, London Road, Oxford, on August 26. Fined £200, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Larry Stephens, 66, of Market Place, Chipping Norton, convicted of speeding at 42mph in a 30mph zone in London Road, Chipping Norton, on August 27. Fined £400 and ordered to pay a £40 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with four points.
Duane Peters, 42, of Magdalen Road, Oxford, admitted stealing alcohol worth £6.99 from the Co-operative store in Banbury Road, Oxford, on May 6. Fined £50 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and a £150 criminal courts charge.
Derron Williams, 29, of Hockmore Tower, Oxford, convicted of using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Cowley Road, Oxford, on October 1. Also convicted of wilfully obstructing a police constable on the same date. Admitted failing to surrender to custody at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on May 21. Fined a total of £180 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge, £400 costs and £50 compensation.
Kevin Jones, 36, of Speedwell Street, Oxford, admitted trespassing at the AMT coffee stall at the Westgate Centre, Oxford, and stealing £160 cash on May 6. Fined £50, ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £150 criminal courts charge.
Stevie Timperley, 27, of Hughes Close, Charlbury, admitted stealing £60 worth of razors from Boots in Oxford on March 23, and another £120 worth from the same shop on March 26. Also admitted stealing £35 worth of toys from the shop on April 11. Given a Community Order requiring rehabilitation treatment and ordered to pay £40 compensation and a £60 victim surcharge.
Hayley Cox, 33, of Brome Place, Oxford, admitted stealing £535.50 worth of clothes from Jack Wills in Oxford on January 30. Given a 16-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay £200 compensation.
Adam Jones, 27, of Luther Street, Oxford, admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour in Oxford on December 3. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
David Seager, 40 of Home Close, Carterton, admitted stealing seven bottles of Vinebury Shiraz wine, worth £19.96, from the Co-op in Abingdon on November 24. Also admitted stealing £47.92 worth of washing products from the Co-op in Eynsham on October 24, three bottles of wine worth £20 from Tesco in Eynsham on October 27, five bottles of wine worth £37.50 from Waitrose in Waterstock on October 14 and another four bottles of wine worth £30 from the same shop on the same day. Also admitted stealing £53.29 worth of alcohol from the Shell garage at Ducklington Service Station in Witney on February 9 this year. Ordered to pay £161.17 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and given a Community Order with a supervision requirement until further notice.
Andres Pakalns, 27, of Broadway, Didcot, admitted being drunk in a public place in Oxford Railway Station on March 22. Also admitted being drunk and disorderly in Broadway, Didcot, on March 23. Fined a total of £200 and ordered to pay a £150 criminal courts charge, £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Lucia Revtakova, 32, of Hollow Way, Cowley, admitted drink-driving in Cowley Road on April 4. Had 96 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Also admitted being the driver of a car which failed to stop after an accident which caused damage to another vehicle in Cowley Road on the same date. Ordered to carry out 40 hours of work in the next 12 months and banned from driving or holding a licence for two years. Fined £225 and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge.
Steven Tolley, 52, of Darrell Way, Abingdon, admitted keeping a vehicle which did not meet the correct insurance requirements in Abingdon on July 17. Fined £300 and ordered to pay a £30 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Marcelle Steyne, 27, of Pococks Close, Bampton, admitted speeding in Dartley Bottom, Cirencester, on November 15. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with three points.
Mohammed Umar, 24, of Cumberland Road, Oxford, admitted stealing money of an unknown value from WH Smith in Templars Square, Cowley, between September 1 and November 22. Ordered to carry out 150 hours of unpaid work within the next 12 months and to pay £1,000 compensation and £85 costs.
Colin White, 45, of Speedwell Street, admitted stealing two bottles of Grey Goose vodka worth £74 from Sainsbury’s in the Westgate Shopping Centre on January 26. Made subject to a curfew for four weeks between May 26 and June 24 and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge.
Qasim Hussain, 29, of Leon Close, Oxford, admitted stealing two bottles of vodka worth £76 from Tesco in Magdalen Street, Oxford, on May 8. Sentenced to 12 weeks in prison suspended for 12 months and ordered to take part in alcohol dependency treatment and 100 hours of unpaid work. Ordered to pay £76 compensation, an £80 victim surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.
Craig Ward, 50, of Woodstock Road, Stonesfield, was convicted of drink driving on Greenfield Road, Stonesfield, on April 24. Had 48 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath over the 35mcg legal limit. Ordered to pay £85 costs.
Shah Ahmed, 27, of Sherwood Place, Oxford, was convicted of using a mobile phone while driving in London Road, Oxford, on July 25. Fined £115 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £300 costs. Driving licence endorsed with three points.
Zaheed Bokhari, 18, of Howard Street, Oxford, was convicted of using a motor vehicle in a public place, namely Oxpens Road, Oxford, on November 19 without valid insurance. Fined £600 and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with six points.
Ashley Kingham, 26, of Waltham Gardens, Banbury, was convicted of using a mobile phone while driving in Kings End, Bicester on September 15. Fined £200 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with three points.
Robert Mattock, 62, of Lodge Hill, Abingdon, was convicted of failing to provide police with information which could identify a driver suspected of a motoring offence in Banbury on October 21. Fined £600 and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 points. Driving licence endorsed with six points.
Catherine McCann, 43, of Church Street, Kidlington, was convicted of failing to provide police with information which could identify a driver suspected of a motoring offence in Banbury between October 13 and November 10. Fined £600 and ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Driving licence endorsed with six points.
Alexander Bartram, 22, of Divinity Road, Oxford, admitted speeding over 70mph on the A40 in Oxford on October 25. Fined £100 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs. Six points on driving record.
BANBURY MAGISTRATES
Ryan Paris, 22, of Burwell Drive, Witney, admitted drink-driving in Thorney Leys, Witney, on April 4. Had 66 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Also admitted possessing cocaine, a Class-A drug, in Burford Road, Witney, on April 4. Given a 40-month driving ban, a £490 fine, a £39 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Alistair Morris, 33, of Pixey Place, Wolvercote, admitted using threatening abusive or insulting words or behaviour at the Red Lion Hotel, The Square, Eynsham, on May 1. Also admitted committing a further offence while subject to a conditional discharge made on February 24 for criminal damage. Fined £85, a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs and a £150 criminal courts charge.
Amy Morris, 24, of Cup and Saucer, Cropredy, admitted stealing meat, cheese, butter and Persil worth £35 from Co-op in Ferriston, Banbury, on April 8. Community order made with three-month curfew and told to pay £35 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and £40 costs.
