SWIMMER Laura Worsfold made a splash in Queenford Lakes in Dorchester to raise cash for homeless people.
Crisis Skylight Oxford invited people to join its Summer Swim fundraiser at the lakes on Saturday.
It called on its supporters to take a brave dip in the water or face its Ten Minute Challenge, which encouraged swimmers to take to the water alone or in teams.
Mrs Worsfold, from Woodstock, said: “It was lovely out there because it’s such a beautiful lake. It was a fun thing to do for a worthy cause.”
Spectators enjoyed a host of food and music, while a hot tub and sauna awaited swimmers taking the plunge.
Cash raised will support Crisis’s work with homeless people, which includes CV advice, work experience and help with course fees.
Mrs Hunt said the charity which helped 73 people in Oxford get into work last year, hoped to raise £2,000.
