Gavin Minns, 37, of Freelands Road, Oxford, admitted stealing tanning products worth £24.98 from Sallys Salon in Nuffield Industrial Estate, Ledgers Close, Oxford on March 24. Fined £70 and ordered to pay £25.98 compensation and £40 costs.
Perri Springer, 21, of Bullstake Close, Oxford, admitted possessing cocaine, a Class A drug, in Pembroke Street, Oxford, on April 29. Fined £70 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £40 costs.
Jed Francis, 24, of Marsh Lane, Oxford, admitted obstructing a police constable in the exercise of his powers. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge, £40 costs and £180 criminal courts charge.
Scott Goodenough, 29, of Beeching Way, Wallingford, admitted driving a vehicle in Beeching Way without third-party insurance on April 30. Fined £350 and ordered to pay a £35 victim surcharge, £60 costs and £150 criminal courts charge. Driving licence endorsed with six points. Also admitted driving a vehicle without a licence in Beeching Way on the same date. No separate punishment imposed.
Howard Russell, 60, of Langley Road, Abingdon, admitted breeching an antisocial behaviour order by using aggressive language towards police officers in Langley Road [no date given for offence]. Fined £90 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £100 costs.
Peter Mears, 48, of Bassett Road, Oxford, admitted possessing a knife, blade or sharp-pointed article in a public place in Bassett Road on February 5. Also admitted causing racially aggravated intentional harassment, alarm or distress by using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour towards another person in Bassett Road on February 4. Sentenced to three weeks in prison suspended for six months. Ordered to pay £400 costs and £80 victim surcharge.
Dean Knott, 22, of Nuffield Close, Didcot, admitted harassing a woman by contacting her by calls, messages and turning up at her home address between March 24 and April 11 in Didcot. Also admitted harassing a man by calling him, messaging him and threatening him between March 30 and April 11 in Didcot. Ordered to carry out 135 days of community work in the next 12 months. Made subject of a restraining order preventing him from contacting the people he harassed. Also ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and £400 costs.
BANBURY MAGISTRATES
Luke Day, 31, of Canterbury Close, Banbury, admitted stealing two legs of lamb worth £21.90 from Farm Foods in Calthorpe Street on March 6. Given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £40 costs.
Wayne O’Donovan, 50, of Coopers Gate, Banbury, was convicted of harassing a woman by making constant phone calls of a threatening nature between December 1, 2014, and January 11 at Knights Road, Oxford. Had already been given a restraining order not to contact the victim. Given a community order to take part in a Building Better Relationships course for up to 32 days and a restraining order not to contact the victim. Ordered to pay a £60 victim surcharge and a total of £485 costs.
Marcus Pearman, 38, of Withycombe Drive, Banbury, admitted harassing a woman by repeatedly phoning and texting her and visiting various addresses where he thought she would be between June 1, 2014 and December 4, 2013. Given a community order to take part in a Building Better Relationships course for up to 32 days and a restraining order not to contact the victim or visit an address in Booth Way, Banbury. Ordered to pay £100 compensation, a £60 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Joshua Ochola-Bolger, 18, of Acacia Avenue, Oxford, admitted possessing cannabis, a Class B drug, on March 27 in Oxford. Fined £40 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.
Jake Smith, 25, of Henwood, Wootton, admitted stealing bottles of vodka worth £39.96 from B&M Bargains in Marcham Road, Abingdon, on April 7. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and told to pay a £15 victim surcharge and £50 costs.
James Walsh, 23, of Van Diemans Lane, Oxford, admitted drink-driving in Cowley Road, Oxford, on March 17. Had 51 micrograms of alcohol in 100ml of breath, above the legal limit of 35 micrograms. Also admitted failing without reasonable excuse to surrender to custody at Oxford Magistrates’ Court on May 19. Given a 12-month driving ban and fined a total of £160. Also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge.
Mathew Buckley, 26, of Bracken Close, Carterton, admitted failing to answer bail at Banbury Magistrates’ Court on May 18 having been released on criminal proceedings from Witney Police Station on March 24. Given an absolute discharge but ordered to pay £45 costs.
Mark Pawley, 23, of Blenheim Drive, Bicester, admitted stealing four cans of lager worth a total of £5 from Tesco in Bicester on March 11. Fined £165 and ordered to pay £5 compensation and a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs.
Craig Simms, 45, of The Spinneys, Enstone, admitted driving while disqualified on the A361 in Bloxham near Banbury on April 30. Given an eight-week prison sentence suspended for 12 months and ordered to pay an £80 victim surcharge, £85 costs and £150 criminal courts charge. Licence endorsed with six points.
Craig White, 30, of Blenheim Drive, Bicester, admitted damaging eight tyres on vehicles belonging to Amanda Wilkins in Blenheim Drive between October 4 and 12, 2014. Given a 12-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay £229 compensation and a £15 victim surcharge.
Alan Wright, 30 of Mascord Road, Banbury, admitted using threatening or abusive words or behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm or distress in Banbury on April 25. Fined £135 and ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge, £85 costs and £150 criminal courts charge.
