Vans have been targeted by tool thieves in a spate of thefts, police said.

Chipping Norton Police said that there were two offences in Charlbury on Thursday and Friday but did not provide any further details.

According to police, Citroen Berlingo, Mercedes Sprinter and Ford Transit vans have been targeted in recent weeks.

Police advised van owners to report suspicious activity and also to consider additional security measures, such as interior alarms and lock boxes to keep their tools secure.
