Police have not yet managed to track the owner of a black suitcase that sparked a bomb scare on Wednesday.
The suitcase was left against a car, prompting police to cordon off the road.
Officers closed Woodstock Road and neighbouring Little Clarendon Street for about an hour.
Police spokeswoman Charlotte Redman said officers had still not found out who owned the case and would not give any information about what was inside it.
The scare happened yards from the Oxford Armed Forces Recruitment Office, where the IRA claimed responsibility for delivering a suspect package in February last year.
