JOHN Howell was returned as the MP for Henley with a much bigger majority after he polled 32,292 votes.
Labour beat the Liberal Democrats into second place after Sue Cooper polled 6,205 for Nick Clegg's party, down from more than 13,000 in 2010.
Labour candidate Sam Juthani polled 6,917, about 1,000 votes more than last General Election.
Turnout was was 77,946, which represented 70.3 per cent of the electorate.
Mr Howell thanked his wife Alison and supporters after he was elected.
He said: "I feel quite emotional but I have just massively increased my majority.
"I was not expecting such an increase."
UKIP came third with 6,007 votes and the Greens were fifth with 3,815.
