THREE men have been arrested after a man was left with "serious injuries," police say.
During a fight between two groups at 2.30am yesterday in Chapel Street in Bicester, a 40-year-old man was hit with a wooden object.
Police think it could have been a baseball bat or a piece of wood and said the blow left him unconscious and with serious head injuries.
He is being treated at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
Two others, a 21-year-old man and a 25-year-old woman, were treated by paramedics at the scene for minor injuries. All three victims were from Bicester.
Police said the two groups met earlier in the White Hart pub in Sheep Street and a fight broke out as the groups made their way to a kebab shop in Chapel Street.
Det Con Grahame Lea said: “We would urge anyone who may have seen anything regarding this incident to contact us as a matter of urgency.
"Whether they noticed a row in the White Hart or witnessed the assault which left one man with serious head injuries we want to hear from them.”
Three men from Bicester, aged 23, 25 and 35, were arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm and are in custody.
