Chimney fire in Stanford in the Vale
A CHIMNEY caught fire in Van Diemans Lane in Stanford in the Vale.
Fire engines from Faringdon and Wantage were called to the blaze at 1.50pm.
A hydraulic platform was sent from Rewley Road so firefighters could spray water on the roof.
The fire had been brought under control by 3.45pm, Oxfordshire Fire and Rescue Service said.
