OXFORD Brookes university has chosen Professor Alistair Fitt as its new vice chancellor.
He already works at the university as the pro vice chancellor for research and knowledge exchange and will take on the new role on February 1.
The appointment follows last year’s announcement that Professor Janet Beer would leave the university to become vice chancellor of the University of Liverpool.
Chairman of the board of governors Geoff Donnelly said: “I am confident that with Alistair at the helm, the university will continue to achieve great things locally, nationally and internationally.”
