THE A44 was closed after an car overturned at the junction with the B4437 at the Duke of Marlborough pub, north of Woodstock.
Thames Valley Police spokeswoman Hannah Williams said the collision on the A44 was cleared at 5.40pm.
She said officers arrived on scene after a collision between a Volkswagen Golf and a Mazda, where one vehicle had overturned.
South Central Ambulance Service was called at 4.30pm.
Spokeswoman Catherine Munro said one woman, believed to be in her 20s, has been taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford.
A second patient was checked over on scene, but did not need hospital treatment.
Stagecoach Oxfordshire has also tweeted that it would be diverting its S3 route via Charlbury.
