THREE vehicles have been involved in a collision at the scene of a car recovery between Faringdon and Wantage.
Thames Valley Police said a Vauxhall Astra was being recovered from a ditch near West Challow, after it left the road and went into a ditch at about 6.30am.
Recovery trucks were said to be on the scene, but force spokeswoman Lucy Billen said that at about 8am another three vehicles were involved in a collision there as well.
The road was closed but has now been reopened.
A traffic report added that there had been 'a number of accidents caused by black ice' on the route recently.
