The deadline for applications to become the Bishop of Oxford has ended.
The Diocese of Oxford is seeking a replacement for Rt Rev John Pritchard, who left the post last October after more than seven years.
Diocese spokeswoman Debbie Dallimore said she could not confirm how many nominations had been received by the Crown Nominations Commission, which is handling the selection process.
Ms Dallimore added: "We won't have any more details until the person is chosen, which will probably not be until the summer or later."
