KAYAKERS made the most of flooding in Port Meadow yesterday amid flood alerts across the county.
Part of Port Meadow was submerged along with Oatlands Road Recreation Ground in West Oxford.
Alerts were issued by the Environment Agency for the River Thames and tributaries in the Oxford area between Wolvercote down to and including Radley and Jericho.

An alert was also issued on Saturday and remained in place last night along the Thames in the Abingdon area and above Oxford including Buscot, Kelmscott, Radcot, Chimney, Northmoor, Stanton Harcourt, Bablock Hythe, Eynsham, Swinford and Yarnton.
The alerts in place said recent rainfall had caused river levels to rise, with flooding of low lying land and roads expected.
Later this week heavy snow is forecast in parts of West Oxfordshire.
According to the Met Office Chipping Norton will be hit with heavy snow on Wednesday morning.
Witney, Oxford and Bicester are also expected to get some light snow in the early hours of Wednesday.
