A cloth left on an electrical oven hob caused a small fire today.
Oxfordshire County Council spokesman Marcus Mabberley said its fire and rescue service was called to sheltered housing in Latimer Road, Oxford, at 7.05am.
Two fire engines from the Rewley Road fire station were sent to the scene.
Mr Mabberley said there were no reports of injuries and firefighters had left by 7.19am.
